ALMA

In collaboration with Nookart Art Gallery, the work What is the colour of our presence? no. 4 was presented within the restaurant Alma Prague, extending the artist’s ongoing exploration of temporality, materiality, and attentive presence.

The piece originates from an inner need to slow down within the accelerated conditions of the present. Situated at the intersection of craftsmanship and abstraction, the work is shaped through a sensitive engagement with coloured clay, where deliberate gesture intertwines with the material’s own spontaneity. Drawing on the traditional technique of coil building, the artist reinterprets it into a contemporary visual language, allowing colour to become an intrinsic component of the material rather than a surface addition.

Through its layered, processual formation, stripe by stripe, moment by moment, the object operates as a subtle record of time, its rhythm and atmosphere. The resulting form appears both fragile and fluid, carrying a meditative quality that invites the viewer into a state of slowing down and deeper awareness of the present moment.
