The exhibition Boundaries of Serendipity brings together three artists - Karolína Kučerová, Paula Benčaťová, and Františka Benčaťová - whose practices engage with temporality, material intimacy, and a sensitive approach to process. The artists draw on the inherent qualities of their chosen media and the symbolism of their expressive forms as tools for exploring and expanding the boundaries of materiality and craft.

The exhibition presents a convergence of their individual practices, focusing on the evolution of exploratory processes and on processuality as a key component of artistic creation. The presented works connect material, texture, colour, and meaning to investigate and extend the limits of working with material, while exploring the dynamics, rhythm, and depth of objects.

Each of the three artists presents a series of works situated at the intersection of creation as a spiritual act and experimentation with technology. As a whole, the exhibition weaves together three distinct approaches into a single project, reflecting on intimate journeys and new ways of thinking about the relationship between the artist and the material they work with.

The exhibition design aims was to create smaller, enclosed intimate spaces that visitors could enter, allowing time to be spent alone with the objects. Each of these spaces guides the viewer through a subtle labyrinth, unfolding the narrative of each artist’s practice. The transition between light and depth is a recurring motif throughout the exhibition within the objects themselves, the spatial architecture, and the artistic philosophies of all three artists.
