IN A CERTAIN MOMENT

The project In a Certain Moment explores the line as a fundamental visual principle and its transformation from a two-dimensional mark into a spatial experience. It is grounded in an understanding of the line as a tool for recording time, which, through the process of making, materializes into fragile, fluid forms. Originally confined to a planar condition, the line is released from its linear determinacy and enters space as an autonomous, haptic element, whose limits are tested through the medium of ceramics.

The spatial objects emerge from an ongoing investigation into the relationship between line, mass, and gravity. Their formal compositions balance on the threshold between stability and collapse, where the tension between volume and the subtlety of the line generates a dynamic, at times precarious equilibrium. This approach also reflects different modes of perceiving time, articulated through the concepts of Aion, Chronos, and Kairos continuous duration, linear chronology, and the intensely experienced moment.

The process of making itself, based on the repetitive formation of thin coils, becomes a performative act of slowing down and concentration. Time is not treated as a neutral measure but as a lived experience that is embedded within the resulting form. Each object thus carries traces of distinct temporalities - flow, accumulation, and fragmentation.

Formally, the works are characterized by a nuanced palette of pastel tones, contributing to a dreamlike, at times subtly surreal atmosphere. The compositions oscillate between playfulness and tension, inviting the viewer into an active perceptual engagement while prompting reflection on their own experience of time.
