What is the Colour of Our Presence? presents ceramic works created from an inner need to slow down within the accelerated rhythm of the present. Through the interplay of color and line, I create sculptural image-objects that exist between craftsmanship and abstraction. Their forms emerge through a dialogue between intentional touch and the autonomous behavior of the material.
My practice explores both the possibilities and fragility of clay, drawing from the traditional technique of strip modelling and reinterpreting it through a contemporary approach. Instead of glaze, the works are composed of pigmented clay, where color becomes an inseparable part of the form itself.
Built stripe by stripe, minute by minute, the objects become subtle records of time, rhythm, atmosphere and emotion. Their meditative quality is balanced by softness, lightness and moments of playfulness and immediacy.
