What is the Colour of Our Presence? presents ceramic works developed from an inner need to slow down within the accelerated conditions of the present. Through the interplay of color and line, I create sculptural image—objects that exist between craftsmanship and abstraction. Their forms emerge through a dialogue between deliberate touch and the autonomous behavior of the material.
The practice engages with the possibilities and limitations of clay, drawing on the traditional technique of strip modelling, reinterpreted within a contemporary context. Instead of using glaze, the works are made from pigmented clay, where color becomes a natural part of the form. In this process, material and color are inseparable-together shaping soft, fragile expressions of lived moments.
Built stripe by stripe, minute by minute, the works become subtle records of time—its rhythm, atmosphere, and mood. Their meditative quality is balanced by a lightness of color and material along with a sense of playfulness and immediacy.
